Product Designer & Technologist
2nd year Product Design & Technology student at Loughborough University. Passionate about IoT, design thinking, and the intersection of tech and finance.
I'm Aditia Khemlani Sawlani, a 2nd year student in Product Design and Technology at Loughborough University, UK. Curious and passionate, I'm drawn to many fields โ technology, finance, and trading โ but above all I'm a designer, eager to learn and excel.
I'm fascinated by using design thinking and technology to solve real problems in creative ways.
Each project explores a problem through the lens of design thinking, a respective brief and creative technology.

Track the point, own the court.
A smart IoT device for racket sport players (squash, tennis, badminton) that clips into the throat of the racket. Features a digital display showing live scores, a rotary dial for score adjustment, and Bluetooth connectivity to a companion app for match analysis and court position heatmaps.
A university module assessed on designing a product that addresses human wants or needs through the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
LED display showing real-time match score visible from a distance.
Tactile rotational encoder to add or subtract points mid-game.
Wireless syncing to mobile app with motion tracking and court position detection.
User-serviceable battery for minimal downtime between matches.
30+ sketch variations exploring wrist-worn, racket-embedded, and handle-based form factors. A mid-fidelity 3D printed model was produced in 2025 with real lessons learned about G-code and FDM support structures. Final renders produced in Keyshot with studio-quality lighting.
Trade faster. Live richer.
A speaker with a unique selling point โ built for traders. Echo Bloom features a live market ticker display (BTC, ETH, S&P500), Quick Buy/Sell buttons for instant trading actions, a dial to switch between markets and timeframes, and a plant holder on top to bring nature into the trading setup.
Scrolling LED display showing real-time prices for crypto and stocks.
Red QUICK SELL and green QUICK BUY buttons for instant market orders.
Built-in planter on top, adding organic warmth to the tech-heavy aesthetic.
Solar panel on the rear for sustainable, passive charging.
25+ thumbnail sketches exploring radically different speaker forms. CMF board developed with brushed metal, speckled stone textures, light wood for the planter, and a green/black colour palette. Built in SolidWorks, exported as OBJ, rendered in Blender with custom Principled BSDF shaders. An Augmented Reality mockup placed the speaker in a real trading desk environment.
Step. Feed. Repeat. โ The Dog Feeder.
Joseph Joseph's Design Week Brief: "Identify a relevant problem or key insight related to pet feeding and develop an inventive and disruptive design concept that enhances how domestic animals are fed."
Dogs drop 15โ40% of their food. DAWG's silicon mat contains mess and is easy to clean.
18% of dogs have owners working 9โ5. DAWG enables consistent, owner-free feeding.
50% of UK adults over 50 own a pet. Foot-lever operation eliminates painful bending.
Dogs can be trained to activate the feeder themselves โ true autonomy.
Silicon mat (hygiene), Black Matte Metal body (premium aesthetic), Black Durable Plastic legs, Stainless Steel lever with rubber grip patterns for safety. Universal bowl compatibility โ any standard bowl fits.
Move Freely โ a hairdryer reimagined for Rheumatoid Arthritis.
A non-conventional, freestanding hairdryer designed specifically for individuals living with Rheumatoid Arthritis. A turbine-inspired, pedestal-mounted unit controlled entirely by remote โ eliminating the need to hold, grip, or lift a traditional dryer. Features a marble base, brushed aluminium tower, and turbine head with a distinctive teal/yellow accent.
Aditia physically simulated RA โ placing buttons on finger joints under thick gloves, an elbow pad connected to velcro at the hip, and a neck collar โ then attempted to dry his hair. This empathy-led research directly shaped every design decision. 14 million people worldwide live with RA; 400,000 in the UK alone.
Fully remote-operated โ no gripping, twisting, or holding required.
Turbine-inspired airflow design with focused, adjustable air direction.
Luxurious marble base adds stability and elevated aesthetics.
Aluminium telescoping tower adjusts to suit seated or standing users.
Palette: deep navy #073590, bright blue #2091EB, light grey #DFDFDF, yellow #F1C933, black. Materials: marble base, brushed stainless steel tower, UHMW polyethylene fans, copper shaft, aluminium and nichrome wire heater.
